SOLD! 1950 CHEVROLET 3100
- 216 Inline 6 Cylinder, Three on the Tree
- Last Restored in 2015
- Engine & Trans Rebuilt ~6k miles ago.
- Two Owners for 60+ years, Extensive Records from 1983 - Well Loved, Quintessential 1950s American Pickup
A Washington state truck from new, it’s always been garaged and well cared for. The original owner put 120k miles on the clock throughout his 33 years of ownership. Upon his passing in 1983, it was willed it to his niece and her husband of Olympia, WA. They subsequently rebuilt the engine and transmission the following year (roughly 6k miles ago), and kept it in weekend driver condition for the ensuing 31 years, maintaining it fastidiously and refurbishing it as necessary.
In 2015 it was sold to the owners of Trillium Woods Farm in Quilcene, WA, when the author wife wanted to surprise her violinist husband, and had her brother “restore” the truck. That included stripping and refinishing the truck in Atomic Orange Metallic, a Corvette color from the late 2000s that suits the Advance Design pickup beautifully. Since restoration it was used sparingly before being sold to a collector in 2022, who in-turn sold it to me last autumn. The truck is titled/registered to my Montana LLC, but is currently stored here in Montecito, CA

Nostalgia lives in this beauty. Would make a great signature vehicle for a farm, brewery or whiskey distiller!
